Below you can see a preview of your SafariBookings email signature.

The signatures is optimized for viewport widths between 320 - 600 px and most email clients. Please check if all info is correct. You can test how your signature looks on different devices (desktop / mobile) and in various different scenarios (images shown/blocked) by using the toggle switch above the signature.

  1. Copy all contents by clicking "Copy to clipboard"
  2. Access your Gmail Settings via the gear icon (⚙) at the top right of your inbox, and scroll to the section labelled 'Signature'
  3. Paste the email footer contents into the Signature input field (don't worry if the layout doesn't look correct immediately)
    • If you want to display your signature above quoted text when replying to an earlier email, make sure the option 'Insert this signature before quoted text in replies and remove the "--" line that precedes it.' below the Signature input field is checked. You can also leave it unchecked if this is what you prefer.
  4. Please check if your Gmail picture is the same as the image used in the signature. If not:
    • Save the image depicted above your signature next to your name to your hard drive. (right mouse button => save link or image)
    • In the 'My picture' section of Gmail's settings page, click 'Select a picture' and choose the image file you have saved.
  5. Click 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the settings page
  6. Compose an email and send it away
  7. Bask in the glory of the professional impression you are now making when recipients see your new email signature.
  1. Download a compressed version of your signature file to your device by clicking the "Download (zipped)" link at the top right of your signature
  2. Extract the downloaded ZIP file. a TXT file should appear.
  3. Open the TXT file with Text Editor. The contents should look like a large line of text starting with <span class="greeting" style="color: #444;". Copy all code from this file.
  4. In Apple Mail create a new Signature by going to File > Preferences and select the Signatures tab. Close the Preferences Window and quit Apple Mail.
  5. In Finder, navigate to your User > Library. If you have difficulty locating your Library folder, click the menu item "Go" in Finder, then "Go to folder" (shortcut: Command + Shift + G) and enter "~/Library/Mail/"
  6. In your library folder, navigate to the directory "Mail" and open the folder with the highest number (e.g. "V3" or "V8"). There should be a folder called "MailData" in there which you should open, and then open the "Signatures" folder
  7. Here you should see one or more mail signature files, which can be recognized by the ".mailsignature" extension. Open the one with the latest Modified Date (this is the one you just created in Apple Mail)
  8. The contents of this file should look like four or five rows of text, an empty line, and a block of code starting with <body. Replace this block of code with the code you've copied from the downloaded file.
  9. Save the file and (important) lock the file. Locking can be done by hovering over the filename at the top of the Text Editor window, clicking the arrow next to the filename, and check the "Locked" option that appears.
  10. Exit Text Editor and open Apple Mail again. View your signatures or compose an e-mail to see your SafariBookings.com signature.
